Poster award for Christine Derks (AG Neumann)

During the Wilhelm und Else Heraeus Physics School „Nanoscaled Oxides – Big Opportunities in Small Structures“ in Bad Honnef (2.- 8. August 2009) a best poster award has been given to the Osnabrück PhD student Christine Derks (AG Neumann) for her presentation „Electronic Structure of REScO3 (RE = Nd, Sn, Gd, Tb, Dy)“.

Danish honory professorship

Prof. Dr. Katharina Al-Shamery, physical chemist at the University Oldenburg, has been awarded with an honory professorship for chemically functionalized interfaces and nano-structured materials of the Faculty of engineering of the University of Odense (Denmark).

Manfred Eigen-Nachwuchswissenschaftlergespräche 2009 "Chemical Evolution" organised by the CIS

The Deutsche Bunsengesellschaft für Physikalische Chemie has announced that the second Manfred Eigen-Nachwuchswissenschaftlergespräche will take place at the Hanse-Wissenschafts-Kolleg in Delmenhorst.
